Bill and Mary Davis have been helping a variety of clients with their projects since 1985. Previous to operating their own company, Bill learned the trade from a second-generation, family-owned structural moving company; LW Enterprise in the San Francisco Bay Area. This company was full of very talented movers. From 1977 until 1983, Bill learned as much as he could about the house moving industry from LW. This company specialized in many structures in the Silicon Valley and Greater Bay Area by rigging, lifting, moving and/or relocating structures.

After working for the family owned business, Bill kept pushing to increase his knowledge of the rigging and structure moving industry by working for Bay Area Rigging, located in Silicon Valley,California. There he moved specialized, sometimes computerized equiptment for one of the leading machinery and equipment movers in the bay area. Bill then further honed his skills with Almas International in the Los Angeles area. Almas is a high-profile specialty moving company known for one-of-a-kind projects, such as moving Howard Hughes’ Spruce Goose or components of nuclear power plants or raising bridges. Many of the techniques and tools required to preserve these unique objects Bill uses on everyday house moves. While this attention to detail may take longer, it is Bill's goal to move each and every structure with as much precision and care as possible.

After encompasing all of the knowledge and experience from past structural movers Bill decided it was time for him, his wife and his family to take on the structural moving industry. After working with all these different companies he knew that if he comprised all of his past knowledge he could run a very successful an efficient company. Since then Rocky Mountain Structural Movers, Inc. has been serving the Colorado area, and continues to approach each project with creative, quality-conscious rigging and structural moving.
